2010 Events List

All KSU times are from the Post unless specified otherwise. Arrive at Post topped off. All runs will leave from The Post and return to The Post. We will leave as a group and return as a group. During all rides it will be the responsibility of the Tail Gunner and Support Vehicle to insure that no one is left behind and to stay in contact with lead riders. We will arrive at all events as a group. RIDE SAFE !!

Bikers Rally For Brain Injured Children

 Sponsored by Elks MC

The ride begins at 12:00pm From all Locations. Riders in Bayonne will begin at Bayonne Elks Lodge 434, 364 Broadway. The Ride Fee is $20.00 per person. All rides end in Old Bridge with food, vendors, and music.  All Proceeds will be donated to the special needs children of the Sayreville B.I.C. camp and Camp Robin.

 Covered Bridges Run

 

 Covered Bridges Run  KSU 8:00 am Saturday April 24, 2010. We will  meet at Post at a time to be determined for breakfast. The run will be in Bucks County PA. We will stop for pictures at each bridge. We will have lunch in New Hope after which we will take CR519 to CR513 to 78  to head back to Post. This will be a full day of riding so get plenty of rest the night before.

Armed Forces Run

American Legion Riders Bayonne Post 19 Armed Forces Run. This annual run was started on May 17, 2008 and is the signature run for our chapter. This run covers 105 miles through 4 county's and is a fully Police escorted run. The run  takes about 2-1/2 hrs. Registration 8:00am - 9:45am KSU @ 10:00am, at the end of run there will be Food, Music and Vendors.

Donation: $20 Rider  $10 Passenger

All Proceeds to benefit American Legion Legacy Scholarship Fund

Rolling Thunder XXIII

May 28th to May 31st

All riders that are planning to participate in this years run to Washington DC will meet at the Post Friday May 28, 2010 KSU 8:30am. This year if arrangements can be made we hope to be making a scheduled stop in Howell, NJ to visit "The Butterfly Tree" at the Howell Middle School. Time permitting we will stop in Perryville, MD for lunch. Do to our experience with last years run we will be on a strict riding schedule in order to arrive at our hotel by mid-afternoon. Hotel accommodations will need to be arranged so the sooner you commit the better our chances of securing rooms closer to the event.

Any ALR Chapters/Riders that are interested in riding together as a group please send email to Buck@bayonnepost19.com so staging arrangements can be coordinated.

Department of NJ Convention

American Legion Department of NJ Convention Wildwood, NJ         

We will be heading to Wildwood this year to defend our First Place Title in the motorcycle category of the Annual American Legion Parade on June 12, 2010. The competition gets tougher every year and the number of entries gets larger, all chapter members should participate in this effort even if you can only make it for the parade we need your support. Some of our members will be heading down on Monday June 7th.  The official dates for the convention are June 10,11, 12. The State meeting is June 9 3:00pm. Many of our members both Riders and Post & Post Family members will be staying at the Caprice Motel, so if you are planning to attend the convention you will need to make reservations early to secure a room, if you are interested in sharing a room talk with other members that are going and may be interested in splitting costs.

2010 American Legion Legacy Run

The 2010 Legacy Run starts in Indianapolis, heads west, then finishes in Milwaukee during The American Legion's 92nd National Convention. Though the route for the run hasn't been finalized, the dates have. Riders will depart from Indianapolis on Aug. 22 and arrive Aug. 26 in Milwaukee.
